The
National Cycle Archive within the Modern Records Centre at the University of
Warwick was established in 1990 by the Cyclists’ Touring Club. Its main
objective is the preservation of records relating to cycles and cycling. It
comprises books, serials and records deposited by numerous cycling bodies
and individuals, with its largest archive coming from the Cyclists’ Touring
Club. With the help of a Heritage Lottery Grant, this was catalogued in
2003, but interest in the Archive remains consistent, with more records
steadily being added.
